Today Don Doumakes told me about https://cooklang.org/ it's markdown based. There's a web application called http://cook.md/ that for free allows the scraping of a webpage to get the recipe. https://cooklang.org/docs/ says: "Life hack if you want to save a random recipe in Cooklang format… Just add cook.md/ before the full URL in your browser’s address bar (including the protocol, like https://), and boom—your recipe is ready!" I tried it with Cook.md/https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1026810-make-ahead-egg-spinach-and-feta-wraps and it worked great! It created the shareable link https://cook.md/cookifies/f67a2104-fc85-444f-a262-aff4e4d116f5
There's some open source around CookLang. Maybe I'll give a short talk about it sometime.
Google pointed me to awesome-cooklang-recipes
Reddit thread about Big Collections of Recipes Online has good things in it.
